Gregg Shibata is a collaborative team leader, seeking to transform health and healthcare. At Echo Health Ventures, he supports emerging solutions to improve care delivery and the care experience.
Gregg was previously the Assistant Director of Strategic Initiatives at Cambia Health Solutions. A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Gregg has continued his real-world learning over the past fifteen years by driving local and national programs with partners such as the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation, and others. During this journey, Gregg engaged local and national coalitions and stakeholder organizations to support collaborative quality measurement and transparency, payment reform, health information technology, and consumer engagement. He brings this unique policy and program experience to the Pacific Northwest where he is part of a dynamic team that invests and supports the next generation of healthcare innovators.
Prior to his life in health and healthcare, Gregg lived in Okinawa, Japan for four years teaching English to rambunctious children. This experience has (probably) helped him as he now has three children with his lovely wife of seventeen years.
