Announcing Echo Health Advisors and New Team Members
Echo Health Ventures is committed to driving transformative change in health care through the investments we make and the work we do to connect our parent companies and other enterprise health care partners with market leading innovation. We know our success in these initiatives is driven by our team of experienced, dedicated health care professionals. We are excited to share several new additions to the Echo team.
Announcing Echo Health Advisors
As we expand our set of non-investment services, we’ve created Echo Health Advisors to organize and coordinate their delivery. The Advisors team, led by Karim Botros, encompasses Echo’s innovative market development team and deepens our commitment to providing value beyond the capital we invest.
Echo Health Advisors recently added two new team members to our Portland office.
David Goad: David is an Associate, Corporate Development, focused on corporate development opportunities in partnership with our parent companies.
Prior to joining Echo, David held corporate development roles at a publicly traded company and a privately held early childhood education company. David earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Washington State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Towson University.
Strategic Investment Team Expands
We are pleased to welcome two new Strategic Investment Associates to Echo Health Ventures.
Anahita Nakhjiri: Based in Echo’s Seattle office, Anahita is responsible for deal sourcing and evaluation through transaction execution and portfolio management. Prior to joining Echo Health Ventures, Anahita served as a Senior Associate at McKesson Ventures in San Francisco. Previously, Anahita was a consultant with The Advisory Board Company, advising health system executives on clinical workflow improvement and implementation of performance technologies.
Anahita is a graduate of The George Washington University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Economics and Public Policy.
Omair Ahmed: Based in Echo’s Boston office, Omair is responsible for deal sourcing and evaluation through transaction execution and portfolio management. Prior to joining Echo Health Ventures, Omair began his career as a health care consultant for Accenture Strategy. Omair also brings considerable experience investing in health care innovation, through his prior roles at Merck’s Global Health Innovation Fund and 7Wire Ventures.
Omair received a Bachelor’s degree in Business with honors from New York University’s Stern School of Business, and a Master of Business Administration degree with distinction from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
We are excited to expand the team with these new roles that will help Echo continue to deliver on our vision of building the next, great companies to transform health care. Please join us in welcoming Anahita, Omair, David and Pia.
